Alumni Night at Hartford Stage - "Breath & Imagination"

V.I.P. Package - Drinks, Dinner, World Premier and Networking too!
January 26th in Hartford, CT

The HBS Club of Connecticut has invited us to the theater.  Please join distinguished alumni from the Greater Hartford area on January 26th at the Hartford Stage for a special evening of networking and culture featuring the world premier of a new play by Daniel Beaty: Breath & Imagination: The Story of Roland Hayes

    •    From 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM schmooze with fellow alumni in a private lounge with an open bar and buffet dinner.
    •    At 8:00 PM sit down for a world premiere play about a fascinating figure almost lost to the history books, Roland Hayes. The play features an all-star cast and original music including spirituals, operatic arias, and classical vocals.

About the play:

Before Marian Anderson and Paul Robeson, there was Roland Hayes—the first world-renowned African-American classical vocalist. Born the son of a slave, Roland discovered his voice as a young boy singing spirituals in church. This play chronicles his amazing journey from a plantation in Georgia, to singing before kings and queens in Europe. Breath & Imagination explores the life of an American pioneer through words, movement, spirituals and classical music

This event is a collaboration among several alumni groups in the Greater Hartford Area, including Wharton, Stanford and Princeton, so this networking opportunity is not to be missed. Significant others are welcome too, so make this a date night as well!

These V.I.P. tickets are limited (only 60 available); don't wait to RSVP by clicking here. Price is $120 per person and includes open bar, buffet dinner, theatre ticket and parking.

Special thanks to Alan Mattamana, HBS MBA 2006, who serves on the Hartford Stage Board and helped make this event happen.
