Why This Topic:
Are you helping a loved one navigate these complex decisions regarding estate and eldercare? Are you trying to plan in advance for your own estate and care through the later chapters of your life? Are you just curious? Then this event is for you!
Estate and Elder/Life Care Planning is a topic that affects everyone. To be more specific, more than 37 million Americans are providing unpaid elder care for someone in the US. (US Bureau of Labor Statistics.)
Planning for the later chapters of your life presents a complex web of decision making spanning considerations such as legal, financial, medical, care and housing. Paula Almgren Esq, Founder of Berkshire Law Group, will share insights from her 20+ years of experience working with clients, her own family and from her book ELDERCARE THE RULES—Navigating the Legal, Financial, Medical, Housing and Care Maze (Laurel Ridge Press) on the topics of Elder Law, Estate Planning and Life Care. She will provide a bird’s eye view on how you can preserve assets and make far smarter choices and informed short and long-term decisions.

Paula has not only seen it firsthand with her own clients as an estate planning, elder law and life care attorney but lived it with own late mom who died of Alzheimer’s disease. The experience so transformed her life and law practice she was inspired to write the rulebook on eldercare.
Paula says, “There is so much misinformation out there when it comes to what families really need to know regarding legal, financial, medical, housing and care issues, which in my book are all a part of the eldercare maze. On top of that, it can be an emotional, scary and very confusing time for everyone involved.”
